Vintage 1972-75 Fender Precision Bass Neck w/ Original Tuners & String Retainer (Tree). Really great playing vintage maple P Bass neck from the early 70s. Nice shape for its age, but has some cosmetic wear as one would expect from a 40-something year old neck - some dings and scratches here and there, light finish checking and finish peeling around the fret ends, but plays very well. The frets are in nice shape and I believe are the original medium jumbos.
Neck stamp reads: 1013 4252, which indicates it was made in either 1972 or 1975 (either the last digit OR the 2nd to last digit can indicate the year, depending on the worker who stamped it in the factory). Either way, the neck is correct for any P bass made in the first half of the 1970s. The neck is straight and the truss rod works great. All the tuners are straight also, and function smoothly. I had this neck mounted to a body and it played very well with nice low action all across the board, and no dead notes anywhere.
Standard (B size) 1 5/8 nut, and great feeling neck profile. A real pleasure to play. Please check out my other listings for more cool Fender stuff! I will respond to all emails as soon as possible.
