Sire Marcus Miller Jazz Bass Neck withTuners. Will Fit Standard Fender 4 Bolt

Heres a rare find piece! Sire Marcus Miller V7 Jazz Bass neck. The neck is very clean and loaded with stock tuning machines.

I got it for a project but found a Fender 75 Reissue Jazz neck that better fit the relic body I planned to use it on. I never got a chance to string it up, but it fit snugly in the neck pocket of my MJT 70's style Jazz bass body (Standard Fender Sized Neck Pocket). There are 2 pics with the neck sitting in the pocket of my 1977 Fender Jazz Bass body.

Its a 3 bolt body, so the neck isnt mounted. The truss rod works well and turns in both directions. It makes the same creaking noises as any Indonesian made Fender Squier or the Fender logo'd Made In China models I have owned or setup in my shop.

I did not turn the rod to its limit, but it has enough back bow range for a regular set of nickel wound strings. It can easily go up another full turn or two from there. I would not suggest that, unless you wanted the neck to look like the Gateway Arch in St Louis!

The workmanship is very good for this import piece. Besides the tuners, the fit and finish easily compares to the much higher priced LakLand Skyline Series, which is probably made in the same factory. Only flaw is a nick, string indentation, or factory flaw by the inlay at the first fret. I cleaned and oil the fingerboard 1/15/18, so its good to go.
