Fender 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Jazz Bass Guitar V Sunburst 1996. This beautiful 50th Anniversary edition Fender guitar is a very rare find!
It is tested and plays fine, but it does have some minor cosmetic issues. The finish on the front and back of the headstock has chipped in places back to the bare wood. The same chipping of the finish has happened on the back of the neck. The screws on the pickguard have some corrosion. There is a hole at the base of the fretboard which is supposed to be there, but it has some chipping around it.It needs a new set of strings. Please look carefully at the photos and feel free to ask any questions. We are not guitar experts and have done our best to describe the guitar accurately. Note Fender guitars during the 80s and 90s had issues with chipping finishes.
Ash or Alder body, Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard. Here is some history of the Fender Jazz Bass. The Fender Jazz Bass was introduced in 1960 as a higher-end alternative to the Precision Bass with closer string spacing, a thinner neck profile at the nut, and two punchy single-coil pickups. The original Jazz Bass was renamed the Standard Jazz Bass in 1981 to avoid confusion with newer models.
The name was changed again in 1988 to the American Standard Jazz Bass to denote basses made in Fender's American factory. We stand behind our items and always want our customers to be 100% satisfied. Thanks for stopping by to view this made in the USA..
